Product Features AccuCharge Technology Energy Star Compliant Rotating Brush 15.6 Volts Cordless Bagless Design Easy Empty Dirt Cup Lightweight - Weighs Less than 6 Pounds Swivel Head Folding Handle Allergen Filtration Traditional Ni-Cad Battery Charging Systems When traditional Ni-Cad battery systems are kept plugged into the wall, energy (or current) is constantly being pumped into the unit. Even after the battery is fully charged, it still continues to supply it energy. This sends heat to the batteries and “cooks” them, damaging the battery cells. This damage to the batteries gradually decreases run time and also wastes energy. AccuCharge™ Technology The AccuCharge system constantly monitors the unit’s batteries and charging status. This “smart charger” recognizes when the unit is fully charged and then reduces power to the unit to a trickle charge for maintenance. This prevents power and heat from constantly being pumped into the batteries and “cooking” them. AccuCharge also uses an efficient switch mode charging adaptor, which combined with AccuCharge circuitry utilizes less energy. In a recent study, the use of Dirt Devil’s acclaimed AccuCharge technology showed to maintain charge more than twice as long as regular batter charging technology. Since the AccuCharge Stick Vac can easily be set on its dock for charging, there is no need to worry about loose batteries or needing spares. ENERGY STAR certified AccuCharge technology will reduce electricity usage to only a trickle once your battery is fully charged. You can store your stick vac on the charger without having to worry about wasting energy, space, or money.

I had one that could handle both: A lot of dog hair (retriever / mix tip!), Four children, the usual kitchen crumbs, carpets, hardwood floors, tiles and a very low-nap carpeting (whew!). We also have a wood stove, and often have small leaves and curls from the logs out of the house. In the past I Bissel Sweep Turbo (kept breaking) and tried Shark (new version with a broom, battery died after one year and a brush roll was so full of it, that it was difficult to try to keep it clean). Tired of the batteries die or vac die! A major problem with wireless VACS is that the battery will inevitably die out on you within one year because of "overcharging" it. I really liked that this vaccine has a "smart charger" that just makes the vaccine you need and then reduces the load to a minimum so that the battery will not charge the charger is the size of a shovel and has the vaccine in place and therefore have a place in the facility you can park. The handle folds down if that makes a difference in storage options. At first it feels "contras" plastic body a little weak, it is difficult (but possible) on actions, the whole body of the vaccine and not just rotating the nozzle while turning, and takes some getting used to, it is clear ergonomic and begin to feel the hand of the vaccine "heavy" after a while (you can still use a vacuum with a single index finger wrapped around the end of the handle and it helps). Also, if you aspire to a very dirty carpet, the dirt cup and fill up quickly give up. Now the "pros": This is really vac picks up things! I am amazed at the amount of dog hair, crumbs, etc. will pull this thing! Ideal for kitchen (Good-bye, puppy Tumbleweeds!) Scatter rugs to get clean without being sucked into the vacuum, large tiles, wood and carpet nap down brush roll I love the on / off function, so I can timber to carpet with ease. Get the clean edges too. The head of the vac is smaller than I thought, so if you can not get the clean edges to go, I get to come clean on the edge. Now things like dog food and soft air pellets (two boys) will rattle around when you vac them, so I usually end up emptying the dirt cup when that happens. Noise is moderate, is ultimately a vacuum. Noise increases a little dirt cup is full. Fully charged, initially at least six hours, and again, put it back in the charger base and it will only charge what he needs (charging light turns off when fully charged vac again). You do not have enough to bring the charge of the battery, as I try to keep his 10 minutes in continuous operation, is used, it has a two year warranty on it, which I think is above average. After my study I vac, carpet, and after each use to other floors, I use my regular vacuum cleaner really clean and large filter screen is a central concern of well-vacs with this type. This thing takes so much dirt and dog hair that I usually order at least once the dust cup is empty, if I use it on my office carpet, but not to pull my 21 - pound Sears vac is around the penalty. When the dirt cup was bigger, it would be almost perfect! I currently use Swiffer Sweeper poles for my hardwood and it looks like this Vac is within six months not to buy mines to pay all the time! So I think the only thing left to figure out now is how long it is! PS: The dirt cup release looks as if you press it down, but actually you have to push up the button, or you can break it! Also deeply patterned carpets, it is not doing a good job, but again for small rugs and everything I have mentioned, it means Hope it helps! 43 of 43 people found the following review helpful. my favorite vacuum cleaner for about 2 years now ...
