Seay I bought this relatively pricey combo vacuum with the hopes of replacing two other devices: our cordless Dustbuster and corded Hoover Stick Broom. Unfortunately the Electrolux usually sits in it charger unused as it just doesn't perform well. PROS: looks great, lightweight, very maneuverable around and under furniture, charging base has handy light that doubles as nightlight CONS: very weak suction, clogs easily, design flaws for removable handheld, tends to scatter dirt instead of collecting it We have 100% hardwood floors and tile/linoleum throughout the house, and our hope was to find a cordless upright that we could use for quick jobs of sucking up pet hair and dirt around entryway doors, etc. At first glance the Electrolux seemed the perfect fit: it was cordless but could be used on floors without having to bend over, and for tight spot jobs the removable handheld unit would negate the need for our Dustbuster Unfortuntely it just doesn't perform well at all. Even for light hair and dirt jobs the upright clogs far too easily. There is a piece of flexible tubing leading from the bottom of the vacuum to the handheld unit (the handheld snaps into place near the base and actually does the suction), and the angle of this narrow, flexible tubing is about 90 degrees and the smallest leaf or twig causes a clog. If the tubing is completely clear the suction is decent enough for very lightweight sweeping, but even at that point the spinning brush in the base of the upright unit tends to throw small debris aside before the suction can pull it up into the bag (for example, I've tried using it to clean up light amounts of stray litter debris around the cat box but it tends to just throw the litter around the floor instead of sucking it up) I find that compared to the Hoover I have to go over the same floor area with several more sweeps to and fro to get all of the hair and dirt. Other annoyances include the inability to empty the dirt collector without removing the handheld from the upright. Also the handheld power button will not stay in an On position without holding it tightly with a finger or thumb (when using as an upright the power will stay on by itself). The mouth opening of the handheld is also much smaller than your typical Dustbuster and even for small jobs takes several more sweeps back and forth to collect the same amount of dirt of just a few sweeps with a Dustbuster So overall I find myself using our two older vacuums and even going to the added trouble of putting an extension cord on the Hoover to do general house vaccuming instead of even bothering to pull the Electrolux out of its stand. Even though it's cordless it just seems to take longer and more effort to get the same amount of work done. It's basically not much more than an expensive nightlight for our laundry room. I really wish I had the good experience with it I seem to see other Amazon users reporting, but alas I cannot honestly say I feel this device delivers anywhere near what it promises. 29 of 29 people found the following review helpful. Great little vacuum By M. Baumann I have had the electrolux for several weeks now and it is wonderful. I live in a college dorm and the vacuum fits nicely in such a small space PROS It works well on the short carpet and the tile in my room. The built in dust buster is extremely handy for other surfaces in the room. The entire vacuum is lightweight and I like the color and design as well. The battery life seems to last an extremely long time. I vacuumed my enitre room with it several times before even noticing the power start to decline. CONS I would criticize this product for not gliding even better on carpet and also I have to clean the brush fairly often. I definately do not regret purchasing this item. This vacuum is by no means meant to replace your household vacuum,.

A strong Sweeper By Michael Kerner The people cleaning companies and Shark Euro-Pro has always known how to make great products with so many vacuum cleaners, sweepers and carpet. But when it comes down to it, is really the way the vacuum really holds. Shark cordless sweepers before they all did a fantastic job to pick up after pies every day, but were a few mistakes. I was frankly very skeptical of the latest model when I saw it on TV and I loved it, but when I started using it, I had hoped for just a little 'more. Here is my verdict. Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper is the latest in Euro-Pro well recieved carpet sweeper line. This does a good job of picking up pet hair and fuzz, and it is very easy to configure. You can actually take a lot of pet hair, fuzz, or anything from your floors and carpets. It is easy to refill, and it works really well. The no-mess dust cup is very simple to clean up, and easily removes all that was picked up from the floors The vacuum is also very easy to carry around, and take from room to room, without feeling the drag of carrying around your vacuum and getting a backache. That is what I think, even though there really are a few problems that still make could've been a bit easier to pick up after. The first problem deals with the battery. ou have to really keep the sweeper plugged in to your outelt for at least a day, inorder to fully charge a the battery. The VX3's battery also could've had a bit stronger battery life than just an hour long. The second problem deals with the backsaver feature. While the VX3 does pick up well, and is easy to operate, I had a tricky time manuvering the VX3 with the backsaver handle. While the concept is ingenius at folding the handle to make it easier at picking up under the beds and those hard-to-reach areas, it is honestly a little bit harder to control and steer the sweeper Still, despite a few problems with the Shark VX3 Cordless Sweeper, I still think it is a very good buy for anyone who wants a easier way to clean up after all those messes on the floor. It just does a great job at really cleaning up your floors and is great for small homes and apartments, or any home that works at a great pace. While you can get this though the As Seen On TV ads, you also can find this at your nearest Macy's for around $70, instead of getting both the VX3 and VX1 models like the infomercial says in its offer for $130. So, suck those problems on the floor away, and try this sweeper out. Useless for pet hair. :-( By Loren Gardner I was really optimistic about the Shark VX3 from the good reviews I'd read on Amazon and other sites about it Unfortunately it just did not meet my needs. I have two very hairy dogs and hard wood floors in my house. I was hoping to find a cordless that I could just pull out every day or two to keep on top of the hair bunnies. The Shark, however, only pushes and blows the hair around. It only picked up maybe half of it, and the rest is still floating around out there. However, it did pick up my black lab's entire choke collar. And a corner of my rug. Bottom line: if you like dropping pounds of screws on your floor and pretending you're on an infomercial, this vacuum is for you. If you'd rather pick up normal things like hair, dust, and dirt, don't bother with the Shark. 34 of 34 people found the following review helpful. Great for Bald People Who Don't Have Pets! By James Rose We purchased this sweeper in hopes that it would provide an easy way to sweep our laminate floors free of dog hair and kid debris Well, it does get the dog hair, but requires many passes. It ends up taking longer to sweep the floor with this sweeper than it would have to haul out the regular vacuum. It.

With a cat, a dog and hardwood floors throughout our house, it seemed the perfect solution to clean the floors. I thought you had to sweep the dirt into a pile, then the side of the broom to be used with the suction hole to ensure. It was easier to get the dust pan. This is not ideal for pet hair. It will sweep, but will not vacuuming pet hair. The concept is great - a cordless broom that sucks - but the product just does not do what it should. 15 of 16 people found this review helpful. Do not waste your money By David Stockey gave this as a gift and are extremely disappointed with it. Even with a full charge can hardly pick up anything. Moreover, the brush slightly bent and tend to absorb whatever you sweep. 18 of 20 people found this helpful I LOVE IT! Hundreds of Ohio who recently bought Dirt Devil Brum Vac. I took it home and could not wait to use it! My first thought was that it looked very fresh and seemed easy to use. I put it together and had a little trouble to mount the handle. By KarenFan I purchased this handy sweeper from Sears because I wanted something to pick up after the kids and our pets without having to lug the big vacuum out all the time just to clean up small messes. I was initially skeptical at first, but I knew I would be able to return it to Sears if I wasn't entirely satisfied. The setup and assembly was very quick. Just screw the wands together, attach it to the base, then charge it up. The first charge needs a full 16 hours to condition the batteries, thereafter the unit only needs 12 hours to recharge. I couldn't believe what this thing picked up. Everything from cat hair, litter, crumbs, and just about everything else that manages to find its way to the floor and carpet. Of course, sweepers aren't meant for big, hefty jobs, or for deep cleaning your carpets(this is a job for your vacuum), but they sure come in handy for in-between cleanups of small spills and messes However, it's important to remember that sweepers are *NOT* vacuums. They have NO suction. They are designed to "sweep" the surface of your carpet and floors for quick, light pick-ups. That being said, I've been completely let down by Dustbusters and all those other "handvacs" that really didn't do anything but make a bunch of noise and lose their power after about 10 minutes of use. After using this, I figure I should only need to thoroughly vacuum once or twice a week now, instead of the usual everyday vacuuming that I used to do... Bissell has designed a real winner here. I'm just curious to see how long the unit and the batteries will last. For some reason, they're still using old NiCad technology here, which is famous for developing the "memory effect" that renders them all but useless after about a year or so The manual also says the batteries are NOT replaceable and must be disposed of when the unit has reached its useful life... The sweeper has a one(1)year warranty, so we'll see how that works out. For now, I'm extremely pleased with this purchase, and would recommend this to anyone who needs a sweeper or simply wants a quick fix for lugging the main vacuum out all the time. Excellent product! 64 of 67 people found the following review helpful. Great for smooth, wood floors; mediocre for tile floors By Sheryl Miller We bought the sweeper based on its Consumer Reports rating and were a bit disappointed. We have three types of hard floors in our home: Pergo, tile with shallow grout, and tile with deep grout. The sweeper is perfect on the Pergo, okay on the tile with shallow grout, and only so-so on the tile with deep grout The suction is not strong enough to pick up the dirt in the deep grout. Regardless of the floor type, long hair gets wrapped around the rotating bristles and must be cleaned by hand. On a positive note, the profile of the cleaner is very short, making it a breeze to get under overhanging cabinets, beds, etc. 45 of 46 people found the following review helpful. Ehhh. Better off using a real broom. By A. Marcos I purchased this little sweeper because the reviews here and on consumer Reports were pretty good. The unit was very easy to assemble and doesn't take up as much room as the others. It also holds a nice charge. Here's the phooey part: 1. The side brushes stopped working after the 1st day. After they stopped working, the side brushes started hoarding the dirt rather than feeding it into the sweeper. Prior to my purchase, I was under the assumption that the side brushes were powered by the sweeper..but it really operates on a push\pull system. As you push the sweeper...the brushes rotate. On my second day, I was pushing and it was no longer moving. 2. The dirt bin\catcher is too small and difficult to clean. I purchased this unit specifically for sweeping up dog hair. It picks up most of the stuff I go over (NOT ALL)...and when I go to empty it out...I have to pull.

I have read dozens and dozens of comments on every imaginable type of hard floor surface cleaner. There seems to be two complaints about this rag ... short charging times, and he did not have the "hands and knees" clean word. Well, if you are what you always fucks anal on her hands and knees, more power to you! I wanted something that could clean the floor after a new puppy accidents, spills grandchildren and tracked in mud on a daily basis. It works fine rag! Can I clean my floor twice with a single charge (which is about 1600 square feet, not huge), and as far as the complaint about the water does not remain true hot news flash, if you use a antibiotical cleaner, you do 't need hot water. I have not had a track, collecting all the leaves and water the soil just moist. Apparently, some buyers are expected to leave the floor completely dry .. and how would it be managed? Built in the dryer? And no, it's not a vacuum, broom must sweep it first. But who does not sweep, mop before? For the money, I think it is a great solution to the problem. It is easy to fill, easy to empty and easy to store. I would (and have) recommend it to friends and family. If I had any suggestions for improvements, it would be brush on a 1 / 4 inches deep to get even better washing performance. 25 of 25 people found the following review helpful. Works fine on flat surfaces, but some restrictions of Melissa I bought this electric mop for a very specific purpose. I have a 3'x5 'area of my kitchen, wiping his daily needs. This is where my litter box and food is. Our cat eats an entirely raw food, which he usually gets raw meat on the floor where he had fought a chicken neck means. Come wash your everyday life is a pain. So I went looking for a solution I wanted was a machine to suck out the trash and mop the area. The only one I found that doing both was the Bissell Flip Eaze, the reviews were very mixed and used pads that I need to be ready. For these reasons I decided to pass. I also looked at Swiffer. I had a Swiffer wet mop back when they first came out. More likely would have worked very well for this project, but has a load permanent replacement pads cost around 0.30 per day. For my own use more than one year, which is ~ 100.00. After a weekend in search of other machines, I decided to go with the Hoover. I have a full size Hoover carpet cleaner and I am very happy. For what I bought this one, I am very happy. It handles easily in the morning cleaning the kitchen (which is linoleum) that I used to clean my entire kitchen (~ 200 square feet) and it works well. I have had good results with it on the plate in my laundry room also. But, it works well on tile in my foyer. Tile in my utility room is a 12-inch tile grout with a shallow and narrow. A little deeper than it would in most bathroom showers. Tile in my foyer is 9 ", with beveled edges and a deep and wide grout. Using electric mop is a bit narrower than the tile, which means that the wheels are running on the edge of what makes it difficult to use. While the suction is good on flat surfaces , it is not strong enough to draw water from deeper grout. Regarding battery life, which is about 20 minutes of use. If my plan is pretty clean, I can do my kitchen with a single charge, but the fight to the end and I must work fast. My sister has a larger area tiled and used his plan for cleaning the tongue, he said he did a good job, but she had to reload.

Have realistic expectations, you will not be disappointed with LawyerMom NOT buy this if you think it will replace the vacuum. I have one. Two years old and a very good vacuum in the hand that I ever use one week (although I probably should vacuum twice per week) for all the rubbish that occur in the middle (probably 2-3x daily), I use the Shark to make my life easier. I am currently a stay at home mom with a child and she leaves crumbs EVERYWHERE. We live in a small apartment, the dining room is a spitting distance of the living room and it's almost inevitable that children (my son, my son's friends, children of my friends ...) who muffins, snacks, cookies, and pretzels around the living room. I had the shark more because my daughter was afraid of loud noises and my regular vacuum, but have discovered that the nice bonus is that it is much easier to carry this out 2-3 times a day to pick up crumbs immediately after snack time (and thus prevent soil in the carpet) that to pull out my tongue Bissell Pro: It's easy, very quiet, pleasant and efficient way to collect crumbs visible if used correctly. Cons: Does not heavy or deep cleaning, the price tag be steep; Shark sweepers are known to break down after a few months to a year. My mom has an older version of shark sweeper, which is much quieter than this. She is a waitress, and uses it to clean the floor under the tables between customers. Of course, you are exposing it to use pretty heavy, and is now in its third. Their recommendations on what is past as possible: the sweeper cleaned thoroughly after multiple uses (including accumulated drag brushes hair wash and container harvesting) and charge the battery as directed (do not let sit for 19 hours charging will reduce battery life) The Shark VX3 is a bit stronger than yours. But I like the fact that there are two speeds (probably to the floor and carpet). Manage curves so you can push it under the furniture, which is a little help, but a bit clumsy and (to know that the shark sweeper handles are characterized by the break), I prefer none at all. The Shark VX3 has a small rotating brush on the side, which is supposed to pick up the crumbs as you press against the side of a wall, but I wish they had thought about putting a rotating brush on both sides. They also claim that you press a button and throw out the bottle, without ever having the dirt This is in theory affect the right, but in practice it often covers a catch or put dirt in the trash, you can shake it out - it's almost inevitably touching trash or debris. No big deal - just washing your hands afterward. Bottom line: do not expect to replace your vacuum. And here is the key to the sweeper can be used most effectively - and slowly push it again and again over the pile of crumbs that you want to pick up. I found that when the sweeper back and forth as fast as a regular vacuum cleaner, it tries to download something is not pushed, just around the dirt. If you found this review helpful, please let me know! 46 out of 47 people found the following review helpful. Calculated correctly and to the right job, it Sandrift This sweeper is not a substitute for a big vacuum cleaner, but it is a great complement to a vacuum. Half of the floors in our house is carpeted and the other half is hardwood or tile - I use the regular vacuum cleaner carpet areas, but I use the Shark for hardwood floors, kitchen and laundry areas of space on hard surfaces, Shark is good at picking up dead insects, bits of dry cat food, cat litter, bits of food and other visible debris and particles. I run it on low pile rugs on the higher speed setting, which makes it good (dresses are always a pain, even with a vacuum cleaner). I do not really use it.

Weighing less than 4 pounds, the 2-amp vacuum can be used as a hand-held dust buster or an upright sweeper for emergency clean up and lightweight dusting. In addition to the stick vacuum's light convenience efficacy, it features an allergen filtering, bagless design, thus reducing bag waste. The stick vacuum motor design features a special clean air system, where dirt travels around the fan blades to prevent any dust from blowing back out into the air and prolong the life of the motor. Dust collects in a easy-to-empty dust cup. A telescopic handle enables upright and hand-held use and is crafted for ergonomic comfort while vacuuming vertically on stairs or upholstery. A crevice tool and a floor nozzle are also provided. The vacuum cord spans a distance of 15 feet. This cleaning appliance is most successful when used on hard floors rather than dense carpeting. The stick vacuum is covered by a one-year limited warranty. With the telescopic handle down, the vacuum measures 5-1/4 by 6-1/10 by 25-1/2 inches and weighs 3-4/5 pounds. --Jessica Reuling

I have a cat in my bathroom and I really do not like sweeping the kitty litter every day - the broom would kick up dust and I would always miss a bit of cat litter. I needed something small, light that I could drag and buzz around the bathroom (hard surface) with. This fits the bill perfectly. It's not really quiet, but not too bad. I do not like the rechargeable stick vacuums because my closet does not have an outlet, and I really do not want to omit it and look at the thing. In addition, wired and powerful stick vacuum cleaners are often not exhausted, but you have to put up with a cord. This stick vac is basically a Dustbuster with a telescopic handle and a removable (bare) floor brush. It's not going to compete with a regular vacuum cleaner, but for light cleaning (eg cat litter), it works fine. I also use it on low pile carpets just outside the bathroom door to pick up some stray cat litter and it is most of what I do not think you want to use on thick carpet or for large areas especially in light of the floor nozzle, no brush - it is really designed for hard floors. It does what I need - no more kicking the dust and not litter in the bathroom (I use it every day). I am satisfied with my purchase. 34 of 34 people found the following review helpful. Better than full size. Because I CynBio through three full-sized VACS looking as good as this - my oldest, elite vacuum cleaner bag was so good at vacuuming, but much heavier. Both Hoover I have bought since then, with and without bags, are not half as good at getting up the dog and cat litter. So now I buy just one second from the bottom Boss. He also runs the couch cushions and other furniture - the only thing that does not do is go into every corner, as it has attachments I use this vacuum several times a week, because there is no "pull" or "TV network Cable "or other headaches to deal with - fifteen minutes, and the work is done. I would not recommend. 31 of 31 people found this review helpful. Good for Quick-vac pickup deserves four stars from Anrol is a complete revision of an earlier study in which I complained about the noise and dust are difficult to reach Cup - would now give it 4 stars but apparently not 'm not allowed to change my initial note in a "modification". Once I learned to the press at all, I find the cap is easily accessible. He did a good job to collect the cat hair and bits / pieces of the surface of the carpet and wood, glass powder contains a much larger number than I would have expected from a gap of this size. So light - easy to grip, a closet and give the house once more he would have given 5 stars if it were not so loud - I can wear earplugs when running. People seem to expect this vacuum to replace a full size carpet is being unreasonable - this is done a great job for what is intended. See all 56 customer reviews ....
